About Kym

As an enrolled member of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community (Lake Superior Band of Chippewa) of Michigan, Kym approaches healing from an ancestral perspective. Born to indigenous roots, she was taught that holistic health encompasses the balance of physical, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual elements. She has a strong background in physiology, pharmaceutical sciences and specialty training in endocrinology and hormone balance with over 10 years of secondary education. Kym’s unique medical journey and personal experiences led her to seeking out more “Root Cause” approaches to wellness. After years of struggling with digestive issues, Endometriosis and various surgeries, she found true whole-body healing through functional medicine and lifestyle changes. Kym happily shares her story and medical traumas in hopes to help others and be a voice and resource for those seeking wellness. Her experiences allow her to deeply empathize with clients and make recommendations with each unique scenario in mind.

What clients are saying after working with Kym:

“[Kym] I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am to be working with you. As you already know I’ve spent the last few years going from Doctor to Doctor taking test after test just to be told my labs look good even though I felt like I was falling apart mentally as well as physically. Thank you for truly listening to me and taking the time to dive deep into my medical history, providing me with the correct testing at the correct times, for finding the imbalances in my hormones and coming up with a custom plan to get me back to feeling like myself again. I’m so grateful to be working with you.” – Nicole T.

A Personal Message For Your Healing Journey

Kym
The path to healing goes beyond just the physical and labs. I invite you to get out of your head and into your body. Listen to your intuition. A mentor of mine reminded me, “We don’t all have to be doctors to be authentic.” Sometimes the best medicine comes from learning and feeling what aligns with your body and energy systems. Healing is a lifelong journey. We only get one body in this lifetime, so let’s give ours the love it deserves every day!
Miigwetch. Dr. Kymberly Klimek

Let’s normalize wanting more for our health than just being “disease” or “diagnosis-free”.

When it comes to conventional labs “in-range,” but symptomatic is not YOUR range. “In-range” is not always anywhere near optimal if you are still experiencing symptoms. The body is designed to heal itself, so we must ask ourselves, “What is keeping it from a balanced state?” Together we will work to transform and reverse “dis-ease.”  You will learn to become your own inner healer in time.

Whole Body Wellness is seldom just ONE thing out of alignment.

It is often a mixture of several organ systems and energy fields out of sync. Conventional approaches to healing often segregate disease into solo systems, but true wellness involves balancing ALL foundational systems to work together optimally. When we begin to address all components with the overall goal being to steadily restore energy flow, vitality, joy and overall well-being within, wellness will naturally and harmoniously flow throughout the body.

Will the process be easy?

I’m not going to sugar-coat it. You’re going to have to make personal lifestyle changes if what you’ve been doing isn’t working anymore. There is no overnight, one “magic pill” kind of fix. Sickness takes time thus healing takes TIME.

I challenge you to ask yourself what health means to you?

Is it being healed from all physical symptoms? Being able to be active with your grandchildren and family into the late stages of your life? Being able to be present in mind, body and soul with the people you love daily? Being able to wake up daily and not fear illness or chronic disease, but rather embrace all the wonders life has to offer? If that feeling or that result is worth it, then let’s embark on this healing journey together. The commitment is an investment into lifelong wellness and preventative illness.

What makes working with me unique?

I’m able to empathize and relate with clients on a deeper level as I have walked a similar path with my own health story and medical traumas. Many of us are a walking accumulation of our personal stories and experiences. By the time our physical body starts showing symptoms of dis-ease, it’s generally an after-effect of issues rooted deep within our bodies such as chronic stress, misalignment with our true purpose, self-doubt, insecurity, comparison, or limitations of beliefs….and even tight grips holding onto traumas we have endured.
