About Kym

As an enrolled member of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community (Lake Superior Band of Chippewa) of Michigan, Kymberly approaches healing from an ancestral perspective. Born to indigenous roots, she was taught that holistic health encompasses the balance of physical, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual elements. She has a strong background in physiology, pharmaceutical sciences and specialty training in endocrinology and hormone balance with over 10 years of secondary education. Kymberly’s unique medical journey and personal experiences led her to seeking out more “Root Cause” approaches to wellness. After years of struggling with digestive issues, Endometriosis, and a number of surgeries due to these imbalances with no preventative solutions or strategies from conventional medical approaches, she found true body healing through functional medicine and lifestyle changes. Dr. Kym happily shares her story and medical traumas in hopes to help others and be a voice and resource for those seeking wellness. Her experiences allow her to deeply empathize with clients and make recommendations with each unique scenario in mind.

What clients are saying after working with Kym:

“[Kym] I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am to be working with you. As you already know I’ve spent the last few years going from Doctor to Doctor taking test after test just to be told my labs look good even though I felt like I was falling apart mentally as well as physically. Thank you for truly listening to me and taking the time to dive deep into my medical history, providing me with the correct testing at the correct times, for finding the imbalances in my hormones and coming up with a custom plan to get me back to feeling like myself again. I’m so grateful to be working with you.”

Let’s normalize wanting more for our health than just being ‘disease or diagnosis-free’.

When it comes to conventional labs “in-range,” but symptomatic is not your range. In-range is not always anywhere near OPTIMAL if you are still experiencing symptoms. Conventional labs are based-off a mainly unwell population (think standard American diet & lifestyle). The body is designed to heal itself, so we must ask ourselves: What is keeping it from its natural state? The tests we run help answer these questions and shed light on the root-causes to illness. Trust the signals and signs your body gives you.

Will the healing process be easy?

I’m not going to sugarcoat it….there is no overnight, magic pill kinda fix. Wellness requires consistency, commitment and personal lifestyle changes. If you are serious about overcoming unwanted symptoms, chronic disease, medical labels, or mystery illness, I offer expertise, knowledge and personal guidance to support you through your journey. Together, we will find the inner healer in you while being kind to your mind, body and spirit along the way.

I challenge you to ask yourself what health means to you?

Is it being healed from all physical symptoms? Being able to be active with your grandchildren and family into the late stages of your life? Being able to wake up and not fear illness or chronic disease, but rather embrace all the wonders life has to offer? If that question resonates with you, then let’s embark on the healing path together. I am honored to be your clinician, coach, mentor and healer rolled into one on wellness-related matters. The commitment is an investment into lifelong wellness and preventative illness. A commitment to days waking up with joy, sustained energy and a sense of purpose. A commitment to living a life full of so much wellness you are able to carry out your intentions, dreams and goals. Remember, the path to healing goes beyond just the physical and lab values. Get out of your head and into your body. Listen to your intuition. Continue to ask those questions when “normal” doesn’t seem normal. Sometimes the best medicine comes from learning and feeling what aligns with your body and inner light.
